Boston Red Sox

They were created in 1893 as the minor league franchise in the city of Toledo, Ohio in the League West (Western League). It moved to Boston when the league became the American League in 1900.

The name of Medias Rojas (Red Sox) was elected by the owner John I. Taylor after the 1907 season and is based on an obsolete form of socks (socks). The former Boston team of the National League (Braves) had received as name, originally, Red Stockings and had used half red, before leaving this practice temporarily in 1907, which inspired the owner of the American League team to use this nickname. Before 1908, the team used the American League average dark blue and had no official nickname. It was simply called the Boston (the Bostons) or the Baseball Club of Boston (Boston Baseball Club'')

The Fenway Park stadium is the Boston Red Sox. Active since 1912, is the oldest stadium in the Major Leagues, very highlights at this stage is left of the garden fence, called Big Green Monster (Green Monster) as the highest baseball near the Grand Chapiteau. There have been three sets of Stars and has hosted nine World Series.
